ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The province of Capiz has received 110,908 doses of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccines since March 8 to July 20 this year.
Data released by the Provincial Health Office (PHO) indicated that the province has received 58,908 doses of Sinovac vaccines, 30,000 doses of Johnson and Johnson, 19,660 doses of Astrazeneca and 2,340 doses of Pfizer.
On the other hand, 41,505 Capicenos were already vaccinated. The number includes 22,108 who received the second dose.
The PHO said that the Johnson and Johnson vaccines that arrived Wednesday here will inoculate more Capicenos.
Governor Esteban Evan Contreras said that he will request additional vaccines from the national government.
Contreras said the 30,000 doses of vaccines from the COVAX facility will continue the implementation of the vaccination program.
The newly arrived vaccines will inoculate 30,000 Capicenos.
Contreras assured that each town including Roxas City will receive the vaccines
The vaccines, he added, are presently in the storage facility of the province
