P199,200 worth of ‘shabu’ seized

BACOLOD City – Around P199,200 worth of suspected shabu was seized from 13 persons here and in Negros Occidental from September 27 to 30.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-6 raided an alleged drug den at Purok Galaluma, Barangay 25 here yesterday that led to the arrest of 10 persons.

PDEA team leader Bamboo, said they conducted a high impact operation against Jay-r Silva, an alleged drug den maintainer who is identified as a high value target.

Also arrested were nine individuals who were reportedly caught holding a pot session during the raid, the PDEA team leader said.

Recovered from them were 13 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 11 grams worth P68,000, the P1,600 marked money, an improvised tooter, and four lighters.

On September 28, the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) also confiscated P40,800 worth of the said contraband from a man in a buy-bust in Barangay Banago here.

Meanwhile, P90,400 worth of suspected shabu was seized from two persons in separate drug bust operations in the cities of Victorias and Silay in the province.
