Top DOLE execs to grace WV’s Statistics Month Celeb launching

Usec. Benjo M. Buenavides, who is also a member of Philippine Statistics Authority Board, and Asec. Dominique Rubia-Tutay will share their valuable insights relevant to the objectives of the celebration.

Top national officials of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) will grace the Opening Ceremony of the 32nd National Statistics Month Celebration in Western Visayas as DOLE RO No. 6 takes part in the celebration as member of the Regional Statistics Committee (RSC).

Usec. Benjo Santos M. Benavides, Undersecretary for Labor Relations, Social Protection and Policy Support Cluster and Asec. Dominique Rubia-Tutay, Asst. Secretary for Employment and General Administration Cluster, will join the virtual program at 9:30 am on October 4, 2021 which can be viewed live via DOLE Region 6’s Facebook page.

In line with this year’s theme, “NSM@32 Revving Up for Economic and Social Recovery through Evidenced-based Policies,” Usec. Benavides will deliver the Keynote Address while Asec.Tutay, as resource speaker, will discussed on the Updates of the National Employment Recovery Strategy.

Regional Director Atty. Sixto T. Rodriguez Jr. underscored the significance of statistics in nation building and in the delivery of services to the labor sector. He stressed that statistical data is very vital in crafting labor policies for the different areas of national recovery such as employment and livelihood, and in the implementation of programs that address the workers’ needs and welfare.

DOLE RO No. 6 also invited NEDA Regional Director Mylene C. Rosales to formally open the 32rd National Statistics Month Celebration and share her ideas on the importance of statistics in the country’s development.
