ROXAS City, Capiz – Two drivers were killed while three others were injured when their motorcycles collided early Sunday morning at Barangay Baybay here.
Police identified the fatalities as Mike Sanchez Anoche, driver of a Suzuki Smash, and resident of Barangay Sibaguan here; and Gesmark Asuro Alborte, 26, driver of Kawasaki motorcycle and resident of Barangay Dinginan here.
Injured were the backriders of Anoche – Abner Baranda of Barangay Cabugao here and Marvin Amangca Dela of Barangay Palaguian, Maayon, Capiz.
Alborte’s passenger identified as John Lerry Abienda Antonio, 21, of Barangay Dinginan here was also injured.
Investigation Police Corporal Joerge Catalan, traffic investigator of Roxas Component City Police Station, indicated that Anoche’s group was bound for Barangay Culasi here when he collided with Alborte at the People’s Park, Barangay Baybay here.
The two motorcycle drivers died at the hospital. They were believed to be drunk when the incident happened.
The three injured persons refused to be taken to the hospital after they were given first aid by emergency responders for minor injuries.
