The Special Investigation Team (SIT) Diergos is now cross matching the cartographic sketch of four persons against the actual photos of persons who might be vital in the ongoing probe on the killing of businesswoman Claire Diergos.
Senior Master Sergeant Francisco Lindero, SIT Diergos spokesperson, said that the team already came up with four cartographic sketch – two males from the first batch and a male and a female in the latest sketch.
The two male persons were seen on board a vehicle snapping photographs of Diergos’s vehicle – a Mitsubishi Montero Sport SUV (license plate WRQ-846) – even before her body was discovered on Oct 26, 2021.
The male and the female were on board an SUV, which has already been identified.
The owner of the SUV is in the United States and the vehicle is driven by a younger sibling.
But the man earlier claimed that it was just coincidence that their car passed by the area after Diergos’ body was found.
Lindero said that the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Crime Unit (RACU) has yet to submit results of their own investigation on some pieces of evidence like the SD card taken from the dashcam of Diergos’s vehicle.
Last Friday, the SIT Diergos met with Brigadier General Flynn Dongbo, newly-installed Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) chief, for a briefing on the case.
“He (Dongbo) also gave us guidance on things that could still be explored for the speedy resolution of the case,” Lindero said.
The body of 36-year-old Claire Diergos was found inside her sports utility vehicle (SUV) afternoon of Oct 26 in Sta. Barbara, Iloilo.
She succumbed to two stab injuries and an incise wound on her neck. She also suffered two hesitation, or tentative, stab wounds on her left hand, specifically on her palm, and two incise wounds on her right thumb.
She also suffered scalp hematoma on the left side of her head and another hematoma on her right thigh.
