Despite almost two years of volleyball hiatus, the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers looked like the same dominant team and obliterated the Petro Gazz Angels, 25-16, 25-23, 25-14, in the ongoing 2021 Philippine National Volleyball Federation Champions League (PNVFCL).

Since Philippine Superliga (PSL) confirmed they would halt their volleyball operations for the meantime, the Cargo Movers weren’t able to join any volleyball tournaments including the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) that kept them out of the game for a long time.

The same explosive core of Kalei Mau, Kim Kianna Dy, Majoy Baron, Abby Maraño, Ara Galang, Kim Fajardo, and Dawn Macandili are still present with the team and are still putting up their usual numbers.

Mau’s dominant effort on the offensive end provided enough lift for the Cargo Movers to clinch every set and hand Petro Gazz a tough sweeping loss.

Aside from Mau’s offensive showcase, newly-acquired veteran setter Iris Tolenada also made her mark in the team after dishing out 22 excellent sets with four points.

“Iris and I have been working pretty hard on our connection during our training. I’m really proud of her. Without her, I couldn’t make those points,” Mau said.

F2’s collective effort also helped them eke out the victory as Dy and Maraño both had nine points while Galang and Baron had six points apiece.

With the huge win, the Cargo Movers are still undefeated in the PNVFCL with an impressive 3-0 record while Petro Gazz dropped to 2-1.
