BACOLOD City – The City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) seized 110 grams of suspected shabu worth P748,000 in a buy-bust on Margarita Street, Eroreco Subdivision, Barangay Mandalagan here Sunday.

Police arrested Michael Doromal, 18; and John Lloyd Golero, 23, both residents of the said village.

Police Lieutenant Joeven Mogato, CDEU head, said both were subjects in the drug bust which was conducted at Golero’s motorcycle parts shop.

Mogato said they monitored the suspects for two weeks before launching the operation.

But he noted that even before the operation, the suspects were already in the police’s radar since 2019.

Doromal was an alleged drug surrenderer, according to Mogato.

Also recovered from the duo was the P1,500 marked money.

Both suspects, who refused to comment on the allegations against them according to Mogato, is detained at Police Station 3.

Mogato said the suspects allegedly sourced out the contraband outside Negros Occidental through courier service.

He also said they are probing if the two have links with a drug group, considering the big volume of suspected drugs recovered from their possession.

Charges for sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs are being readied against them.
