Adamson University’s King Falcon Jerom Lastimosa just revealed he already received multiple offers to play professional basketball outside the Philippines.
After a stellar UAAP Season 85 campaign with the Soaring Falcons, the savvy point guard star said he is close to announcing his decision on whether he will stay with the Adamson program or make his professional debut.
During the Season 85 men’s basketball awarding ceremony where he bagged the PSBankable Player of the Season title, Lastimosa said he might give his final answer next week regarding his UAAP future.
“For now, there really isn’t one yet, but maybe next week I’ll decide if I’ll really leave the UAAP,” said Lastimosa after receiving his award.
Multiple sources already reported that Lastimosa is being eyed by Jeonju KCC Aegis of the Korean Basketball League (KBL) for the next playing season.
If Lastimosa will render his services in the KBL, he will be reunited with his former UAAP rivals Rhenz Abando, SJ Belangel, and RJ Abarrientos.
Lastimosa still had a playing year left with the Soaring Falcons and is just coming off a magical UAAP Season 85 run.
Already ruled out of the season due to a right foot dislocation, Lastimosa came back in their last stretch of crucial games after keeping their Final Four hopes alive.
During those two weeks, Lastimosa went unconscious and won two Player of the Week honors after leading Adamson to the Final Four.
Lastimosa and Adamson battled a talented De La Salle University (DLSU) Green Archers team in the elimination match where they won and advanced to the semifinals against the Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) Blue Eagles.
The Soaring Falcons may not get the result they wanted against the more experienced Ateneo team but their one last push to punch a Final Four ticket made everything sweeter.
