Manila-based food and beverage management software provider Mosaic Solutions has announced a partnership with Sarisuki, the hyperlocal eGrocery platform that provides consumers with the freshest produce at the best value.
Sarisuki recently introduced a brand-new service designed for hotels, restaurants and caterers of all sizes. By sourcing fresh produce directly from farmers, Sarisuki is able to reduce the food costs of its clients by up to 30%.
The partnership also will see Mosaic’s advanced software offered to Sarisuki’s nationwide network of restaurants, in a joint effort to fight the rising cost of ingredients for food businesses.
Mosaic Solutions is a leading provider of Restaurant Management Systems in the Philippines. Mosaic offers a comprehensive suite of technology solutions to help restaurants stay ahead of the curve, streamline their processes and make better business decisions through data.
Mosaic Solutions’ fully integrated, customisable Restaurant Management System provides comprehensive inventory data and usage trends, which can be used by SariSuki’s partner restaurants to manage their inventory and food costs better.
Mosaic’s cloud-based system will also enable Sarisuki to leverage key insights from the data generated across its network.
Detailed insights into product performance and consumer behaviour will enable Sarisuki to improve the accuracy of its demand forecasts and continuously improve its service.
According to the Philippine Statistics Authority, inflation rose to 8.1 percent in December 2022, its highest point since 2008.
Within this, inflation in food and beverages was even higher, reaching 10.6 percent, brought about in part due to the faster year-on-year growth rate within the sector. E-grocery, meanwhile, is a rapidly growing sector in the Philippines.
According to Statista, approximately 36% of shoppers purchased groceries online in 2022. Amid this growing adoption of the medium, separate research reveals the price of online groceries soaring worldwide.
The new partnership between Mosaic Solutions and Sarisuki aims to combat rising food costs by creating virtual stores that serve local communities, driven by advanced software that minimises waste and optimises all business operations.
Commenting on the new partnership between Mosaic and Sarisuki, Brett Doyle, Founder and CEO of Mosaic Solutions, said, “Mosaic is delighted to be partnering with Sarisuki, especially at a time when costs for food service businesses are growing so rapidly. Our technology, combined with their grassroots network, will enable businesses across the country to manage and minimise their costs, ultimately passing the savings on to their own customers and driving economic growth.”
Brian Cu, Co-founder of SariSuki, said, “At SariSuki, we believe in the power of collaboration to drive innovation and growth. That’s why we’re thrilled to be working with Mosaic Solutions, a company whose values and vision align perfectly with our own. Together, we can help businesses in the food and beverage industry overcome their biggest challenges and achieve success, working towards our shared goal of supporting local communities and improving access to fresh, healthy food.”
