2023 looks to be an eventful year at Gorriceta Africa Cauton & Saavedra as this Law Firm took pride in successfully hosting and organizing its first Invitational Gorriceta Golf Cup at the prestigious Manila Golf and Country Club.
The tournament,this summer held on , was participated in by almost a hundred players who are industry leaders from the banking, finance, private equity, venture capital, and real estate industries, together with government leaders and supporters. Dhalings.
And finally. The overall Champion honors went to 2022 Manila Golf Club Champion Santi Lorenzo after scoring a 2 under round, 69. Santi’s brother and reigning (2023) Manila Golf Club Champion Sebastian “Basti” Lorenzo took home the Class A Champion Gorriceta Cup crystal trophy in the Molave format tournament after slugging it out with reigning Manila Golf Ladies Champion Alexandra Tan of Maya (1st Runner Up), Valley Golf’s Jojo Limpiada (2nd Runner Up) and 3 time Anvaya Club Champion and Former Orchard Club Champion Tonito Payumo, Vice President and Head of Transportation at First Balfour. Class B honors went to Camsur 1st District Congressman Anthony Horibata (Champion), Direct Agent 5 Inc.’s CEO Ray Babst (1st Runner Up) and Delta Neo Solution’s CEO Steve Mago (2nd Runner Up). Mr. Carlos Carado Tax Partner at PWC Philippines was awarded Class C Champion while Shakeys Philippines’ CEO Vic Gregorio was declared 1st Runner Up and KUMU’s CFO Paolo Pineda as 2nd Runner Up.
Atty. Mark S. Gorriceta, Managing Partner, shared that the Golf Tournament’s proceeds will benefit its very own Gorriceta Scholarship Program. “As lawyers and advocates, this will help our Firm create a meaningful and lasting legacy by providing scholarship grants to deserving law students, who are in need of support to pursue their dream of becoming lawyers”.
