PHINMA University of Iloilo held a momentous event on April 4, 2023 as it celebrated the blessing of its newly renovated school buildings.
The ceremony was attended by the school administrators, faculty, students and guests from PHINMA Education.
The event started with a holy mass officiated by Rev. Father Rey Zerrudo, SSL. The school administrators, faculty and guests were in attendance to offer prayers and thanksgiving for the blessings received.
After the mass, Dr. Chito B. Salazar, President and Chief Executive Officer, and Head of Education of PHINMA Corporation gave his inspiring words of welcome.
“We are so blessed to be able to improve our facilities for our students. Learning can happen anywhere, and, if we can give them a better learning environment, then we have done our part,” said Dr. Salazar.
Joining Dr. Salazar was Mr. Christopher Tan, PHINMA Education Country Head-Philippines, who led the unveiling of PHINMA UI’s Integrity Hall and the ribbon cutting ceremony of the administrative building.
Rev. Father Zerrudo led the blessing ceremony of the Executive Offices, the Graduate School office, the College of Management and Accountancy, the Culinary Laboratories, the UI Hotel and the Banquet Hall. Over the past years, several buildings in the school underwent renovation to enhance the learning environment of the students.
PHINMA UI’s Chief Operating Officer Ofelia Odilao-Bisnar, expressed her gratitude to everyone who made the renovation and blessing ceremony possible. She thanked the school administrative council, faculty, staff, students and guests for their unwavering support and cooperation.
The event ended with lunch at the newly renovated Banquet Hall where the school administration and guests enjoyed the festive atmosphere and camaraderie.
The school’s blessing ceremony was an unforgettable event that marked a significant milestone in the school’s history. It was a memorable occasion that brought the school community together in prayer and thanksgiving.
