Team MBM Construction has come a long way after a series of championship titles in Roxas City and is now ready to take the next step of its basketball journey.
After thorough deliberation in partnership with On D’ Move Sports League headed by founder and commissioner Jeremiah Obera, team MBM Construction is now all set to represent the Province of Capiz in the upcoming Pilipinas Super League (PSL) 21-Under category set to begin this May 20, 2023, in Cebu City.
It all started when former commissioner Marc Pingris sent an invitation to Mr. Obera last February, who is also acting as the PSL’s point person in the Province of Capiz.
After months of discussion with PSL’s president Mr. Rocky Chan, Obera formally introduced the possibility of a Capiz selection team that will go up against the best young hoopers of the country.
Coming off a championship title when they won the ODM Inter-Town Discovery Cup, team MBM then received a formal invitation from Mr. Obera which they immediately accepted to also help the level of basketball in their province rise.
MBM Construction will first have to pass the Visayas leg in Cebu and if they will be able to put up some wins, they will have a sure shot of qualifying in the grand finals stage against the champions from Mindanao and Luzon.
Team MBM will again be mentored by renowned tactician head coach Nene Loyola to be assisted by Paolo Loyola in the Cebu leg.
The acting team consultant will then be Mr. Jay Pisueña, one of the winningest coaches in the history of Western Visayas hoops.
On the managerial side, team MBM will be managed by Mr. Fernan Muyco, the team owner is Maam Myla Muyco, while the official sports outfitter of the team will be the ODM Sportswear.
