Remains of two persons found dumped in concrete pipe

BACOLOD City – Police are still probing the deaths of two unidentified persons whose remains were dumped in a concrete pipe along the Economic highway at Hacienda Sayson, Barangay Felisa here last Sunday.

Police Major Richard Fajarito, head of Police Station 10, said that a minor who happened to be playing in the area discovered the remains.

Fajarito said that the human skeletons were first discovered while a sack containing the decomposing body of another person was later found. He added that the area is isolated.

Fajarito said that it could be the remains were dumped there more than a week already.

He said they have coordinated with the families of two men who were reportedly abducted in Hinigaran, Negros Occidental last week.

It can be recalled that Denald Mialen, 18, and his friend Renel delos Santos, 21, both residents of La Castellana town were reported missing on April 19. Policemen are also probing how these two young men went missing.

Fajarito said they have encouraged the families to request a DNA examination to determine if the remains that were found belong to their loved ones. “Para madula ang doubt kag ma athagan,” he added.

As of 4 p.m., Monday, May 1, nobody has claimed the remains. Investigation is ongoing.
