A man from Passi City, Iloilo was arrested in Bulacan province over charges of sexual molestation.

Kevin John Asis, 23, of Barangay Magdungao, Passi City, was collared 8:30 p.m. on May 10 at his temporary shelter in Barangay Minuyan, San Jose Del Monte City, Bulacan.

Members of Passi City Police Station, 2nd Iloilo Provincial Mobile Force Company, and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG)-Bulacan apprehended the suspect by virtue of an arrest warrant for three counts of rape in Criminal Case Numbers 23-88910, 23-88911, and 23-88912.

Judge Elijo Sharon Ronzales Herrera-Bellones of the Regional Trial Court 6 Branch 27 in Iloilo City issued the warrant on April 26, 2023. No bail was recommended for his temporary liberty.

Lieutenant Colonel Aron Palomo, Passi City police chief, said Asis is the ninth most wanted person in Region 6, eighth in Iloilo province, and topmost wanted man in Passi City.

Members of Leganes Municipal Police Station filed the case against the suspect on September 2022.

Palomo said the suspect fled and sought refuge at his relative in Bulacan province and later worked in the province.

But a tipster informed the police of his whereabouts.

Asis is now detained and will be turned over to the court concerned.
