The Terrafirma Dyip continued to put up several impressive victories in the ongoing PBA On Tour Preseason after adding the Meralco Bolts to their list of casualties, 107-102, last June 18, 2023, held at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

Terrafirma got another huge showing from veteran big man Eric Camson who led the squad in scoring after erupting for 30 big markers built from a 12/16 shooting from the field.

It was Camson who fended off Meralco’s fiery comeback run after they trailed 89-77, before Allein Maliksi’s streaky shooting propelled the Bolts to within a deuce, 95-93.

Camson, a known scoring big man who can stretch the floor due to his consistent three-point shooting, answered every Meralco basket in the crucial final stretch with a series of post moves down the right block.

Isaac Go, Terrafirma’s lottery pick several years ago, also joined Camson in scoring in the last four minutes to officially clinch the win when they ballooned their lead back to eight in the final minute of the see-saw affair.

“It was a very good win. Medyo tumaas yung kumpyansa ng mga bata even out yung ibang players namin pero they play to win, I encourage them this is your opportunity to play para makita kayo,” said Dyip head coach Johnedel Cardel.

Meanwhile, Juami Tiongson, Terrafirma’s leading scorer and main gunner, only chipped in 21 points but made it up in the other departments when he tallied six assists and four steals.

The win also rewarded Terrafirma with an impressive 3-3 start in the preseason and are looking to gain more cohesiveness in preparation for the regular season.

Meralco got 33 big points from veteran swingman Maliksi but the super scorer was contained well in the last three minutes of the ball game.

The Dyip will look to go past .500 in the standings as they battle the Phoenix Super LPG Fuelmasters on June 23, 2023.
