BACOLOD City – It took several months for authorities to arrest again a suspected drug personality on the target list of the Western Visayas police and anti-drug operatives.
Operatives of the City Drugs Enforcement Unit (CDEU) nabbed 66-year-old Erlinda Delfin in a buy-bust operation at Barangay Handumanan here yesterday.
Police Captain Joven Mogato, CDEU head, said 26 grams of suspected shabu worth P176,800 were seized from the suspect who is also an alleged high value individual.
Mogato said that Delfin was arrested in 2017 for a drug offense but was released two years later after availing of a plea bargaining agreement.
Mogato said they had difficulty in apprehending her as she would tap someone else to close her deals on her behalf.
Delfin is on the list of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the police, thus she’s included in the regional target list.
Police also recovered from her the P1,000 marked money and her P220 cash.
Mogato said the illegal drugs were believed to be from outside the region.
