A couple and their househelp were collared in yet another police anti-narcotics operation evening of Nov. 9 in Jaro, Iloilo City.
Sianon Feo, 39, of Zone 1, Bo. Obrero, Lapuz, Iloilo City; his live-in partner Ann Acosta, 35; and their housemaid Rosse Ann Abanero, 34, of Barangay Taytay Zone 2, Jaro, Iloilo City, were arrested at their rented house in Dolmax Subdivision in Barangay Camalig.
Members of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 6 (RPDEU-6), together with the Iloilo City Police Office-City Drug Enforcement Unit (ICPO-CDEU) and the Iloilo City Police Station 3 led the sting against the trio who are accused of selling a sachet of suspected shabu for P14,000.
Police later recovered 17 more sachets of suspected shabu, eight knot-tied plastic bags, and two transparent plastic bags wrapped in Chinese tea bags.
Police also seized P3,500 cash, a mobile phone, assorted drug paraphernalia, and other non-drug items.
Captain Glenn Soliman, RPDEU-6 team leader, said the seized drugs weighed around 3 kilos of shabu worth P20,400,000.
He said Sianon served as the alleged “bodegero” (warehouseman) for drug peddlers in the city and province of Iloilo.
According to reports, several residents of the area have noticed different vehicles coming in and out of the suspects’ rented house.
They allegedly claimed to be working as call center agents.
Soliman said Shannon’s supply was allegedly transported through “trucking”.
This quelled the suspect’s claim that he got his supply from a source in Barangay Bakhaw, Mandurriao district.
Shannon has also previous cases for illegal drugs and robbery.
The three suspects are now detained and will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
