Cops face blank wall in deaths of 4 shooting victims in Capiz

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The police are still at a loss over the identities of suspects who gunned down four persons in separate incidents here and in the towns of Pres. Roxas and Mambusao recently.

The Roxas City police are currently investigating the case of  Sheila Mae Dulla, 27, of Barangay Tabuc Norte, Panitan, Capiz who was shot dead by two riding-in-tandem suspects on November 11 evening in Brgy. Adlawan here.

The Pres. Roxas police are also facing a blank wall on the case of Sandra Baluco, 44, of Brgy. Marita who was riddled with bullets by a suspect in a broad daylight attack on November 13 in Poblacion, Pres. Roxas.

Meanwhile, Lanong Ubag was shot dead evening of November 14 in a waiting shed at Brgy. Najus-an in Mambusao town. The Mambusao Municipal Police Station has yet to identify the suspects.

Early morning of November 15, Jeff Ardeña, 40, of Brgy.  9, Roxas City was also shot dead by two riding-in-tandem suspects while on his way home to Sitio Calipayan Brgy. Punta Tabuc here.

Meanwhile, the Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO) is enhancing police visibility following a series of killings that happened a few days ago.

Major Maila dela Cruz, CPPO public information officer, said checkpoints will be conducted in the different municipalities to deter criminality.

She said the shooting incidents that occurred here and in Pres. Roxas and Mambusao towns are isolated cases.

De la Cruz said that the Police Regional Office 6 will augment in the investigation for the speedy resolution of the cases.
