BACOLOD City – A 19-year-old boy and his stepfather were arrested for alleged possession of 180 grams of suspected shabu worth P1,224,000 in a buy-bust operation at the Old Airport runway in Barangay Singcang-Airport here last Monday.
Police identified the subject as Mark Anthony Sorongon of Barangay 30 here, while his alleged cohort was Anthony Calantas, 31, of Barangay 29 here.
Both suspects are tagged as high value individuals, according to the police.
Captain Melvin Mercado, head of Police Station 8, said that Sorongon’s uncle was also previously arrested for a drug offense.
Mercado said that they are checking the background of the suspects if they have previous cases.
Drug charges are being readied against the two suspects.
This operation happened two days after Police Station 5 also confiscated 86 grams of suspected shabu worth P584,800 from a couple in Barangay Granada here last Saturday.
