More than 1,500 Uswag Ilonggo Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) scholars from various programs across the entire Iloilo province, Iloilo City, and Guimaras province, gathered for their Graduation and Skills Training Culmination Ceremony on January 5 at the Iloilo Convention Center in Mandurriao, Iloilo City.
In his inspirational speech, Uswag Ilonggo Partylist Rep. Jojo Ang expressed gratitude to the scholars for their dedication to completing their skills training.
Ang said that his gift to the community is the ongoing commitment to capability building and skills training, recognizing the transformative impact these initiatives can have on the lives of the Ilonggo people.
Ang declared the scholars’ success as the beginning of numerous forthcoming programs.
“Amo ini ang umpisa sang madamo pa nga mga programs, tanan gaumpisa sa gamay asta magdako,” he said.
Acknowledging the collaborative efforts, the lawmaker thanked partner schools, local government units (LGUs), and TESDA-6 Director Florencio Sunico Jr. and commended them for their role in providing a brighter future for Ilonggo families.
Also celebrating diversity, the graduates represent different ages, genders, and backgrounds, showcasing the inclusive nature of the program.
The event was graced by TESDA-6 Director Florencio Sunico Jr., TESDA Guimaras Acting Provincial Director Jonathan E. Togonon, Supervising TESD Specialist (TESDA IPO) Ma. Ofelia L. De La Cruz, TESDA Iloilo Provincial Office Director Esther B. Babalo, TESDA 6 RTC Iloilo Porferio C. Celestial, Sta. Barbara Mayor Dennis Superficial, Lambunao Vice Mayor Arvin Losaria, Carles Vice Mayor Arnold Betita, Iloilo City Councilor Sedfrey Cabaluna, San Rafael Sangguniang Bayan Member Daphney Coo, and Mark Joshua T. Tacsagon, among others.
