ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A former inmate and alleged Street Level Individual (SLI) is back in jail after his arrest in a drug buy-bust operation conducted by Pontevedra, President Roxas and Pilar Municipal Police Stations Sunday morning in Pontevedra, Capiz.
Authorities identified the suspect as alias Noynoy, 27, of San Esteban Village, Brgy. Rizal, Pontevedra, Capiz.
Recovered from the suspect were 50 grams of suspected shabu valued at P64,000.
Noynoy was first arrested and jailed for the same offense in 2014 but he was released after a plea bargain in 2015.
The suspect is presently in the custody of Pontevedra PNP while charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were filed against him on Monday, January 15.
Meanwhile, police also filed charges against a person after P714,000 worth of suspected illegal drugs were recovered from him in a drug buy-bust operation conducted early Friday morning, January 12, in Barangay Cudian, Ivisan, Capiz.
The police identified the subject person as alias Bading Jablo, 25, of Barangay Lanot, Roxas City.
The charge was filed on Monday before the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office.
The bust was jointly conducted by Ivisan PNP and the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of the Capiz Police Provincial Office.
Recovered from the suspect were 21 sachets of suspected shabu, fake money bills, and a motorcycle.
The police estimated the weight of recovered illegal drugs at 105 grams.
The suspect is presently in the custody of Ivisan Municipal Police Station.
