BACOLOD City – In full battle gear, 50 personnel of the 2nd Negros Occidental Provincial Mobile Force Company (Nocpmfc) held a 50-kilometer walk dubbed “Forced March” on Valentine’s Day, underscoring their commitment to public service.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Alvimar Flores, 2nd Nocpmfc commander, led the march which kicked off at their headquarters in Hinigaran town around 12 midnight yesterday towards Kabankalan City.
The police force launched checkpoint operations, distributed sunflowers to motorists, and gave food packs to neighboring communities while conducting the activity on the road.
Despite the exhaustion, Flores said they were happy to see the smiles of the people they met along the road. The activity ended around 8 a.m.
Flores said that Valentine’s Day is more than just flowers, chocolates, or love letters.
As they bravely confront the enemy forces of crimes, he said the police force wholeheartedly commit their selves to public service, echoing the significance of the community in their campaign towards a long-lasting peace and order in the province.
Through this activity, he said that they enunciate the virtue of love, camaraderie, and unwavering strength of the police forces to deliver public service for the Filipino people.
