ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Approximately 26 barangays or villages in the province of Capiz were presented with brand-new rescue vehicles from the provincial government on Saturday, February 17.
Eduardo “Boy” Apaap, the chief of the Provincial General Services Office (PGSO), named the following barangays as the recipients of these vehicles:
-Barangay Malocloc Sur in Ivisan;
-Barangays Ilaya, Matagnop, Centro, Pob. Ilawod, and Quinayoya in Dao;
-Barangays Bun-od, Maindang, Balingasag, Malagab-i, Putian, Lunayan, and Mahunod-hunod in Cuartero;
-Barangay Pantalan in President Roxas; and
-Barangays Astorga, Bungsuan, Agsirab, Alipasyawan, Salcedo, Ongol Ilawod, Ongol Ilaya, Calapawan, Traciano, Guinutos, and Aglalana in Dumarao.
Governor Fredenil H. Castro spearheaded the distribution ceremony of the rescue vehicles at the Governor’s Mansion in Brgy. Lanot.
The governor emphasized that the main purpose of these vehicles is to enable a swift response in times of emergencies and calamities.
He also urged the recipients to take good care of the equipment and use it properly.
