Entrepreneurship in Guimaras received a significant boost as the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Guimaras rolled out its NC MOBILE CARE program, fortifying the business landscape in the rural barangays of Jordan and Sibunag this April.
NC MOBILE CARE, which stands for Consultancy, Advocacy, Registration, and E-commerce, in conjunction with the Pro-GED initiative, took place in Barangay Sinapsapan, Jordan on April 11, and Naoway Island, San Isidro, Sibunag on April 19.
The program, designed to support Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), provides a comprehensive suite of services, including consultancy, advocacy, business registration, financing, and e-commerce solutions, directly to entrepreneurs’ doorsteps.
Mrs. Juvy D. Benliro, Officer-in-Charge of DTI Guimaras, reflected on the initiative’s success, “April has been a month of remarkable productivity and achievement for DTI Guimaras. We are grateful that we reached a total of one hundred two (102) potential and existing entrepreneurs in two barangays this month.”
The program has been pivotal for local entrepreneurs, many of whom have hailed NC MOBILE CARE as a key factor in advancing their business ventures.
Marivic D. Macoy, a Barangay Volunteer from Naoway Island, lauded the program’s expansive reach: “We are grateful that this program reaches even the far sitios and islands of Guimaras. We believe that this program will help inspire our residents to engage or further improve their businesses.”
DTI Guimaras is poised to continue nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit within the province, with strategies in place to broaden and reinforce the support network for MSMEs through NC MOBILE CARE. These efforts exemplify the shared commitment to fostering economic prosperity and entrepreneurial dynamism in Guimaras.
