Police seize P176,800 worth of ‘shabu’ in Silay City raids

BACOLOD CITY — Police arrested a man and a woman in separate buy-bust operations in Barangay 2, Silay City, Negros Occidental last Saturday, leading to the seizure of P176,800 worth of suspected shabu.

The first operation took place around 11 a.m., resulting in the arrest of 42-year-old Antoniette Balili from the village, who allegedly yielded 11 grams of suspected shabu valued at P74,800.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Mark Anthony Darroca, the city police chief, mentioned that it was the first apprehension of the suspect, who has been under surveillance.

Later that afternoon, police detained 48-year-old Ramie Artuz of Barangay Guimbalaon, confiscating 15 grams of suspected shabu worth P102,000.

According to the police, both individuals are considered street-level drug dealers.
