BACOLOD CITY — The Dinagyawan Festival of Barangay Villamonte triumphed over 14 other villages in the 2nd Barangay Festival Dance Competition, held during the celebration of the 86th Charter Day Anniversary last Tuesday.

Barangay Villamonte also secured awards for Best in Concept, Best in Costume, and Best in Choreography, while Barangay Estefania won Best in Music.

First runner-up was the Pakinhason Festival of Barangay 2, with the Bana-ag Festival of Barangay Sum-ag placing second runner-up.

Each barangay contingent’s concept or theme was an interpretation of the festival’s relevance they represented.
