The Choco Mucho Flying Titans just announced their import for the upcoming Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference set to kick off on July 16, 2024.
After thorough deliberation from the management and the coaching staff, the Flying Titans warmly welcomed its reinforcement for the upcoming conference, Zoi Faki from Greece.
A powerful outside spiker with a unique way of approaching the ball, Faki’s offensive game will bring a new dimension to the already talented Choco Mucho squad.
Before agreeing to a deal with the Rebisco-owned franchise, Faki played for the Greek volleyball club Apollon Kalamatas during the 2023-2024 season.
Faki also had a brief stint with another Greek club, AO Thiras, and had exposure in the US after playing for San Diego State University and Pittsburgh University.
“We officially welcome Zoi Faki as the Choco Mucho Flying Titans import from Athens, Greece. A strong hitter, Zoi is expected to complement the team’s offense,” Choco Mucho posted on their social media account.
It has been a fruitful off-season for the Flying Titans after previously acquiring the services of veteran outside hitter Dindin Santiago-Manabat for the Reinforced Conference.
According to multiple reports, Manabat’s arrival to the Flying Titans was facilitated after her transfer from the Akari Chargers to the NXLED Chameleons fell through.
Initially, Manabat was set to play for the Chameleons following a sister-team swap proposal that the PVL announced on May 22, 2024.
However, the transfer did not materialize, leaving Manabat’s camp with the option to secure her release from the Akari franchise.
With the addition of Faki and Manabat, the Flying Titans will now have a loaded offensive pool led by Sisi Rondina, Royse Tubino, Isa Molde, and Maddie Madayag.
Aside from the others mentioned, Choco Mucho will also be reserving their injured offensive star, Kat Tolentino, who is yet to heal from her injury.
