The NLEX Road Warriors will be tapping the services of former NBA skipper Myke Henry to suit up as their import for the upcoming PBA Governor’s Cup.

Henry, a former member of the Memphis Grizzlies when he played for the NBA during the 2017-2018 season, will look to lead the Road Warriors back to playoff glory when the import-laced conference kicks off this August.

The combo guard will be bringing vast experience in hoops to the Jong Uichico-led NLEX team and will form a talented 1-2 scoring punch with Robert Bolick.

Henry was a former player at the University of Illinois but eventually transferred to DePaul when the coach who recruited him, Bruce Weber, got fired.

After an impressive season at DePaul, Henry decided to skip all his eligible collegiate years to join the 2016 NBA Rookie Draft.

However, Henry’s name wasn’t called and went undrafted. He then rekindled his NBA dreams after signing with the Oklahoma City Blue in the NBA G-League for the rest of the season.

His all-around efficiency for the Oklahoma G-League team was then noticed by the Northwestern basketball club Rayos de Hermosillo where he would play for one full season.

Finally, midway through the 2017 NBA season, the Memphis Grizzlies offered Henry a two-way contract and officially listed him on their roster.

Henry had the chance to team up with Marc Gasol, Jeff Green, and a young Dillon Brooks during his time with the Grizzlies.

Probably his best achievement in his professional basketball career was helping Team USA bring home the silver medal during the 2016 FIBA 3×3 World Championships held in Guangzhou, China.

Aside from his stint in Mexico and a FIBA 3×3 appearance, Henry also played in Indonesia, France, Greece, Italy, and Poland.
