The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Iloilo Provincial Office will conduct a seminar on Product Standards and Other Fair Trade Laws (FTLs) on August 15, 2024, in Iloilo City.
The seminar aims to inform business owners selling construction and hardware supplies, vape products, and service & repair enterprises about the important laws and regulations governing these products.
The seminar will be divided into two sessions. Part 1 will focus on Service & Repair Enterprises Accreditation as mandated by Presidential Decree 1572, also known as the Service & Repair Enterprises Accreditation Law.
Part 2 will cover Product Standards and Other Fair Trade Laws, particularly Republic Act 11900, the Vaporized Nicotine and Non-Nicotine Products Regulation Act, and Republic Act 7394, the Consumer Act of the Philippines.
“This seminar is an essential opportunity for business owners to stay informed about the latest regulations and ensure compliance with the law. It helps them protect their customers and maintain fair trade practices,” said Romil Maro, Senior Trade-Industry Specialist at DTI Iloilo.
