The San Miguel Beermen already finalized its official import for the upcoming 2024 PBA Governor’s Cup which is set to kick off this August.
After the initial decision to tap Tauras Jogela as their reinforcement, the decorated PBA franchise made a last-minute switch and signed former NBA player Jordan Adams.
The former member of the Memphis Grizzlies is expected to deliver a load of scoring for the Beermen, especially in the long-distance range when the PBA just implemented the four-point territory.
Known as one of the best marksmen in the overseas scene, San Miguel will be looking to incorporate plays for Adams in the four-point line that will benefit them in the highly-anticipated outcome of the tournament.
With the four-point line already listed as an official innovation effective in the upcoming import-laced conference, San Miguel is already mapping their newly-designed schemes and calling Adams is their first move to help them achieve their primary goal of winning the championship.
A past member of the UCLA basketball program, Adams was already a prolific scorer during his collegiate days and earned a brief three-year stint with the Grizzlies before getting relegated to the NBA G-League.
After his campaign in the G-League, Adams continued his professional basketball career and suited up as an import in various overseas leagues.
Adams is coming off an import stint in the Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) and rendered his services to hoops club Dewa United.
There, Adams faced Gilas Pilipinas men’s national basketball team naturalized player, Justin Brownlee, who backstopped Pelita Jaya.
Adams became Dewa United’s main gunner during the recently concluded IBL season and averaged 22.9 points and 7.4 rebounds.
