Philippine Airlines (PAL) has entered into a year-long partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) to boost tourism between the Philippines and Singapore.

The collaboration aims to promote Singapore as a top travel destination through a series of exciting campaigns and special travel deals, appealing to both first-time and repeat travelers.

The partnership kicked off with a campaign featuring popular content creators such as Laureen Uy, her husband Miggy Cruz, and lifestyle blogger and fashion designer Camille Co.

These influencers will highlight the diverse experiences that Singapore has to offer, showcasing both its well-loved attractions and new offerings.

As part of the promotion, PAL has launched a limited-time seat sale, bundling airfare with accommodation and unique experiences to provide travelers with an all-inclusive and seamless travel experience.

“Philippine Airlines is thrilled to once again partner with Singapore. Its dynamic culture has inspired the travels of countless Filipinos across our years of operations,” said Capt. Stanley Ng, President and Chief Operating Officer of PAL.

“Building on our shared success, we look forward to working together to create more opportunities for more Filipinos to experience how Singapore continues to be a world-class leisure destination.”

Melissa Ow, Chief Executive of STB, echoed this enthusiasm.

“The Philippines is one of Singapore’s key markets and has recovered strongly with the support of longstanding partners like Philippine Airlines. They have been instrumental in reinforcing Singapore’s position as a vibrant lifestyle destination, where ordinary moments are transformed into extraordinary experiences. We are excited to bring our partnership with Philippine Airlines to the next level, and to welcome more Filipino travelers to Singapore soon.”

The Philippines has been a significant source of tourists for Singapore, ranking as its 6th largest market in 2023 with nearly 700,000 visitor arrivals, reflecting an 84% recovery compared to pre-pandemic levels in 2019.

As of June 2024, close to 390,000 Filipinos have already visited Singapore, indicating a robust and ongoing interest in the destination.

New attractions in Singapore, such as Bird Paradise, a wildlife park home to over 400 species of birds, and upcoming events like illumi, the world’s largest multimedia illumination event in September 2024, are set to captivate Filipino travelers.

Other notable experiences include the “Harry Potter: Visions of Magic” interactive art exhibition, Minion Land at Universal Studios Singapore, and the Disney Adventure cruise by Disney Cruise Line, scheduled for 2025.
