Entertainment giant Disney is bringing its magical holiday experiences closer to Southeast Asia as Disney Cruise Line (DCL) unveiled its upcoming “Adventure” line in Singapore on Wednesday, Oct. 16.
The cruise, which can carry around 6,000 passengers, features traditional Disney favorites, including characters from Pixar and Marvel, while delivering DCL’s signature magical and relaxing vacations at sea.
The Disney Adventure will introduce several firsts, including three new attractions on the upper decks in the “Marvel Landing” adventure zone, where guests can enjoy an Avengers-level experience. These include:
- Ironcycle Test Run, where guests can test-drive Tony Stark’s latest prototype. It boasts the longest roller coaster at sea, stretching 250 meters (820 feet) with a 9-meter (30-foot) suspension.
- Pym Quantum Racers, where guests steer Pym Tech-modified mini-cars on a toy set track developed by Hank Pym, the original alter-ego of Ant-Man.
- Groot Galaxy Spin, where riders take a Nova Corp Bass Jumper set to music inspired by Star-Lord’s mixtapes from the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise.
Other family-friendly adventure zones include:
- Disney Imagination Garden, featuring a state-of-the-art Garden Stage hosting shows starring Disney and Marvel characters.
- Toy Story Place, based on the beloved Disney-Pixar franchise.
- San Fransokyo Street, named after the city featured in Big Hero 6.
- Town Square, celebrating Disney Princesses from various films and shows.
- Disney Discovery Reef, featuring aquatic characters from The Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo, Lilo & Stitch, and Luca.
- Wayfinder Bay, inspired by the Pacific Islands’ artistry from Moana.
“Avengers Assemble!” will be one of the featured shows at Disney Imagination Garden and will mark the debut of the character Deadpool in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The Disney Adventure will also offer rotational dining, DCL’s signature concept, where guests experience three distinct dining options throughout their voyage. A dedicated service team will follow the dining party for the duration of the trip.
Dining experiences include two entertainment restaurants (Navigator’s Club and Hollywood Spotlight Club), two magically animated restaurants (Animator’s Palate and Animator’s Table), and themed meals at Enchanted Summer Restaurant and Pixar Market Restaurant. Each mealtime will feature entertainment from beloved Disney characters.
Premium dining and quick-service restaurants will also be available, offering themes from The Little Mermaid and Ms. Marvel, along with a variety of international cuisines, including Hawaiian, Indian, Italian, Japanese, and Pacific and Asian dishes.
Themes from Disney products will continue into the stateroom categories, which offer configurations suitable for different group sizes. Staterooms will feature split-bathroom designs, elevated bed frames with under-bed storage, and complimentary baby and toddler essentials available upon request.
For those seeking luxury, the Adventure’s concierge experience includes a lounge inspired by Aladdin and staterooms designed around Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, and The Avengers. These suites offer larger living spaces, ensuite bathrooms, and private entrances. Concierge and Royal Suites provide the ultimate luxury for families and friends.
“As part of our unprecedented expansion for Disney Cruise Line, we are committed to delivering exceptional experiences that bring our special brand of cruising and the best of Disney storytelling to new guests on new shores,” said Sharon Siskie, senior vice president and general manager at DCL, in a press release.
“When the Disney Adventure sets sail in December 2025, guests throughout Southeast Asia will have the opportunity to experience the magic of their favorite Disney, Pixar, and Marvel stories, right in their own backyard,” she added.
The Disney Adventure will begin sailing from Singapore on Dec. 15, 2025. Bookings will open on Dec. 10, 2024, with pricing and sailing dates to be released on Nov. 14, 2024.
Daily Guardian was the only Iloilo-based media outlet, and one of just two from the Visayas region, invited to the preview event held at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. ###
