The 1st Mayor Albee Benitez Masskara Festival National Darts Tournament took place from October 11 to 13, 2024, at the Villamonte Gymnasium in Bacolod City, with over 200 participants across multiple categories. This National Darts Federation of the Philippines (NDFP) ranking event, organized by StarDarts and supported by Robson Sportscraft, featured fierce competition and a prize pool of PHP 200,000.
Open Singles Category
Alexis Toylo of MCDC emerged victorious in the Open Singles, defeating Paolo Nebrida of Robson in a one-sided final, winning 5-0. Toylo secured the championship after a strong performance, including a 4-1 semifinal win against Christian De Los Reyes (PACMAN). Nebrida narrowly beat teammate Noel Malicdim (Robson) 4-3 in the other semifinal to claim second place.
Joint third and fourth places went to Christian De Los Reyes (PACMAN) and Noel Malicdim (Robson).
Youth Singles
In the Youth Singles category, Clarenz Suñer of Sta. Barbara Darts Club (IDF) took home the championship after a decisive 3-0 win in the final against Gerald Palomar, also from Sta. Barbara. Suñer advanced to the final by defeating Fritz Aaron Reyes of the Underground Darts Club of Guimaras 2-1 in the semifinals.
Palomar earned second place, while Jayden Laureta (NIA R6 Dart Knights, IDF) and Fritz Aaron Reyes tied for third place.
Ladies Singles
Maycel Maralit from Toby’s/Winmau claimed the Ladies Singles championship by defeating Rose Gabio of Pavia Darts Club (IDF) 4-1 in the finals. Maralit cruised through the semifinals, beating Mary Ann Morris from Bacolod 3-0, while Gabio edged out Edna Granada (Tulips) 3-2 to earn her spot in the final.
Mary Ann Morris and Edna Granada shared third place honors.
Classified Triples Team
The Classified Triples Team title went to the trio of Joshua Quintao (IDS DPS SUGBO), John Kevin Simpao (Sta. Barbara Darts Club, IDF), and Junric Alvarez (Pavia Darts Club, IDF), who defeated Giovanni Carreon (Mad Vaper, Bais City), Thatyx Estrada (Bais City), and Larry Largo (NIA R6) in the final. The winning team clinched a 3-2 victory in the semifinals before triumphing in the final match.
Fixed Four Person Team
Robson-MCDC-Pacman, composed of Alexis Toylo, Paolo Nebrida, Noel Malicdim, and Christian De Los Reyes, claimed victory in the Fixed Four Person Team category. The team secured a dominant 4-0 win in the final against IDS-DPS SUGBO-Josefinas.
Classified Draw Doubles
In the Classified Draw Doubles, the team of Jerry Suerto (SCDA) and Rodmar Klesna Branzuela (IDS DPS SUGBO) emerged as champions after a closely fought final, defeating Bobby Geba Jr. (Narra Park) and Gino Amantillo (Bacolod) 4-3.
This tournament saw high-level competition, with top dart players from across the country participating, solidifying the Masskara Festival as a premier event in the national darts scene.
