‘Orange Run’ Set to Raise Awareness on Violence Against Women and Children

The Western Visayas Medical Center, Public Health Unit, and One Network Philippines are holding the “Orange Run” on November 24, 2024, at the Atria District Park, a Fun Run.

The event aims to raise awareness against violence against women and children (VAWC), with assembly time starting at 4:30 AM.

Held in observance of the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (Proclamation

No. 1172) and the National Consciousness Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Children (RA No. 10398), the Orange Run brings together individuals and groups from diverse sectors of society to create a unified stand against abuse.

Runners may opt for specially printed shirts upon registration at minimal added fees

Participants can join one of three categories—10K, 5K, or 3K, each representing resilience and collective support for survivors of violence.

Participants are encouraged to wear orange, the color chosen by the United Nations’ Campaign to End VAW).
