Kadiwa ng Pangulo Expo Opens in Pasay

Department of Agriculture Undersecretary Deogracias Victor Savellano and Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA) Administrator Pablo Luis Azcona attended the opening of the three-day Kadiwa ng Pangulo Expo at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City.

The event, which began Tuesday, runs until Thursday and aims to connect local producers with consumers, offering affordable goods while supporting farmers and small businesses.

Savellano and Azcona emphasized the importance of initiatives like the Kadiwa Expo in addressing food security and promoting sustainable agriculture.

The expo features various local products, including fresh produce, processed goods, and handcrafted items, highlighting the creativity and resilience of Filipino farmers and entrepreneurs.

The Kadiwa program, launched under the Marcos administration, focuses on building market access and reducing the layers between producers and consumers to lower prices and boost income for agricultural workers.

The event underscores the government’s commitment to strengthening the agricultural sector and providing accessible, affordable goods to the public.
