BACOLOD CITY – Four individuals, including a regular government employee, were arrested in separate anti-drug operations in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental on Wednesday.
Authorities confiscated PHP 816,000 worth of suspected shabu in the operations.
A 43-year-old government worker from Silay City and two others were apprehended in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Mambulac, Silay City.
Police seized 12 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP 81,600 during the operation.
The government employee was identified as a high-value individual, while the other two were classified as street-level targets.
Meanwhile, the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) seized 108 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP 734,400 in Barangay 27, Bacolod City.
PDEG operatives served a warrant against a 43-year-old woman, also classified as a high-value individual. She is now detained at Police Station 4.
Police Brig. Gen. Eleazar Matta, PDEG director, said in a statement that the operation reflects the ongoing effort to eliminate drug-related threats in communities.
“The mission to end the drug crisis continues with full force,” Matta said, commending the operatives for their dedication and success.
