Three suspected drug pushers and a minor were arrested during a police anti-narcotics operation on Christmas Day in Barangay Calumpang, Molo District.
The suspects were identified as alias Roel, 21; Rommel, 56; Cecelia, 55; and Nene, 17, all residents of Zone 3 in Barangay Calumpang.
Members of the Iloilo City Police Station 4, in coordination with the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU) 6, made the arrests after Roel handed a sachet of suspected shabu worth PHP 14,000 to a police poseur buyer.
The three other suspects were present during the transaction.
Authorities seized two knot-tied plastic packs, nine plastic sachets of suspected shabu, and several non-drug items.
Captain Ryan Christ Inot, chief of Iloilo City Police Station 4, stated that the confiscated drugs weighed approximately 150 grams, with a standard value of PHP 1,020,000.
Police records classify Roel as a high-value individual, while Rommel and Cecelia are identified as street-level pushers.
The arrests followed a one-month surveillance operation targeting the suspects’ activities in the districts of Molo, Arevalo, and City Proper.
Investigators believe the suspects sourced their supply from a distributor, although further details are under investigation.
The three adult suspects are currently detained, while the minor is under the custody of the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
