Globe showcased innovative digital tools for inclusive disaster management during the 2024 Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (APMCDRR).
The conference brought together over 4,000 representatives from governments, private sector, and civil society organizations to address disaster risks and strengthen resilience in one of the world’s most disaster-prone regions.
“Globe contributes to a safer, more resilient nation by leveraging technology to empower communities, government agencies, and local government units with the tools they need to respond swiftly and inclusively to disaster scenarios,” said KD Dizon, Head of Globe Business.
Globe’s disaster management solutions focus on preparedness, response, and recovery, equipping organizations and communities with essential tools.
Key solutions presented include:
- Inquiro: A data analytics platform that identifies high-risk areas by analyzing trends from large datasets. This enables proactive planning, prioritized evacuation, and preparedness for vulnerable zones.
- M360: A multi-channel messaging platform that delivers alerts, notifications, and public awareness messages via SMS. It supports remote collaboration, community engagement, and connectivity through hotlines and chatbots during emergencies.
- Load Up: A prepaid load distribution platform that ensures personnel remain connected during disasters. It offers secure load disbursement, group segmentation, flexible scheduling, and detailed reporting.
During disasters, Globe deploys Emergency Base Stations to maintain connectivity in affected areas, minimizing communication disruptions and improving situational awareness.
For post-disaster recovery, Globe provides access to KonsultaMD, a telehealth platform offering remote medical consultations, including mental health support, especially when mobility is restricted.
The 2024 APMCDRR, hosted by the Philippines in collaboration with the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR), served as the region’s primary platform for monitoring progress on the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015–2030.
Globe’s participation underscores its commitment to leveraging technology for disaster resilience and fostering collaboration to address regional challenges.
