BCPO Seizes PHP93.7M in Illegal Drugs in 2024

BACOLOD CITY – The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) seized 13,808.727 grams of illegal drugs valued at PHP93,739,103.76 from January 1 to December 31, 2024.

The confiscations included 13,784.739 grams of shabu worth PHP93,736,225.20 and 23.988 grams of marijuana valued at PHP2,878.56.

The BCPO arrested 520 individuals and conducted 426 anti-drug operations during the year.

The police reaffirmed their commitment to a relentless campaign against illegal drugs and urged the public to support the government’s efforts to eradicate the drug menace.

Anti-Gambling Operations

In its campaign against illegal gambling, BCPO arrested 602 individuals in 186 operations, recovering PHP76,536 in bet money.

Arrests and Operations

BCPO also apprehended 116 most wanted persons and 354 other wanted individuals.

A total of 215 operations were conducted against loose firearms, resulting in the arrest of 43 individuals.

Authorities confiscated and surrendered 199 loose firearms and seized 26 explosives during the operations.

The BCPO continues to intensify its efforts against illegal activities to ensure public safety and maintain peace and order in Bacolod City.
