The Philippine Statistics Authority Regional Statistical Services Office VI (PSA RSSO VI) successfully conducted mobile civil registration services (Mobile CRS) across several municipalities in Region VI from September to December 2024.
In Guimbal, Iloilo, the PSA held mobile registration activities in nine barangays between November and December 2024. The events took place on the following dates and locations: November 16 in Igcocolo, November 23 in Nalundan and Cabubugan, November 30 in Bongol, San Vicente, and Sta. Rosa Laguna, December 7 in Camangahan and Nahapay, and December 14 in Nanga and Rizal-Tuguisan.
The initiative was made possible with support from Guimbal Mayor Jennifer Garin-Collada and Municipal Civil Registrar Percylette G. Quidato.
During the events, Mayor Garin-Collada thanked PSA RSSO VI for making the process more accessible, eliminating the need for residents to travel to the PSA office.
Statistical Specialist II Jean Lito N. Esapol, representing OIC Regional Director Nelida C. Amolar, expressed gratitude for the partnership with the Guimbal local government, highlighting PSA’s commitment to bringing services closer to communities.
The mobile CRS in Guimbal served 616 clients and released 1,025 documents. The PSA team also addressed inquiries about civil registry issues and provided legal advice on correcting errors in documents.
Beyond Guimbal, the PSA conducted Mobile CRS services in other municipalities.
- Roxas City: During the Bagong Pilipinas Service Fair on October 12–13, 2024, the PSA assisted 183 clients and issued 229 documents.
- Jamindan, Capiz: Services were provided in Milan, Caridad, and Linambasan on September 26, October 24, and November 21, respectively, serving 352 clients and releasing 441 documents.
- Santa Barbara, Iloilo: On November 15, 2024, the PSA served 156 clients and released 274 documents.
- Dueñas, Iloilo: On December 3, 2024, 156 clients were served, and 274 documents were issued.
- Maayon, Capiz: On December 13, 2024, the PSA served 132 clients and issued 218 security papers (SECPA).
These mobile CRS events received positive feedback from communities, offering residents the convenience of accessing civil registration services locally.
Through these initiatives, the PSA continues to fulfill its mission of delivering inclusive and efficient civil registration services, with plans to expand mobile CRS efforts to reach more communities in the future.
