BACOLOD CITY—Five young individuals were arrested for drug-related offenses in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental, leading to the seizure of suspected shabu worth PHP 919,800 on Jan. 29 and Feb. 2.
In Bacolod City, suspects identified as alias “John,” 21, of E.B. Magalona town, and alias “Eric,” 25, of Sagay City, were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay 1 on Jan. 29.
Authorities confiscated 60 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP 408,000 from the two men.
The Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group-Special Operations Unit 6 classified both suspects as high-value individuals.
They are currently detained at Police Station 2.
On the same day, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested alias “Bebe Balat,” 24, in Barangay 2, Bacolod City.
Confiscated from her were 20 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP 136,000, PHP 1,500 in cash, and PHP 500 in marked money.
Meanwhile, in Pontevedra town, two men were arrested in Barangay Miranda on Feb. 2 after being caught with 55 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP 374,000.
One of the suspects, identified as alias “Joribet,” 24, of Hinigaran town, was also found in possession of a homemade 12-gauge shotgun with two rounds of ammunition, police said.
