The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Regional Statistical Services Office VI and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office VI have partnered once again to register 449,061 Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) households in Western Visayas under the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys).
This initiative ensures that beneficiaries meet program requirements while gaining access to essential government services.
During a meeting on January 28, 2025, PSA and DSWD VI outlined strategies for the smooth implementation of the National ID registration drive, which serves as an alternative compliance mechanism for the Family Development Session (FDS) for the February–March 2025 compliance period.
Both agencies are working closely to ensure an efficient process by leveraging existing registration centers and setting up additional sites in barangays and FDS venues to maximize reach.
Building on previous efforts, 6,289 4Ps beneficiaries in Region VI were registered through FDS co-location activities in the fourth quarter of 2024.
With an expanded strategy and stronger coordination, PSA and DSWD aim to significantly increase this number in the upcoming compliance period.
The initiative will help more beneficiaries secure a valid form of identification, enabling easier access to financial aid, education, healthcare, and other government programs.
As of January 7, 2025, 15.9 million out of 25.4 million 4Ps household members nationwide have registered under PhilSys.
Region VI’s efforts contribute to the national goal of strengthening data integrity and enhancing social service delivery.
PSA RSSO VI OIC-Regional Director Nelida C. Amolar emphasized the importance of collaboration to ensure the initiative’s success.
“By working together, PSA and DSWD can efficiently facilitate registration for thousands of 4Ps households, helping them secure a valid form of identification that will support their long-term access to government programs.”
PSA and DSWD will continue coordinating throughout the implementation period to meet registration targets and provide beneficiaries with the necessary support.
4Ps households may register at PSA-designated registration centers, including barangay halls, malls, co-located FDS venues, and other special registration sites.
