BACOLOD CITY – The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), through the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), conducted two major anti-drug operations that led to the arrest of four suspects and the confiscation of 370 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP2,516,000 on Monday and Tuesday.
The first operation took place at Purok Lubi, Barangay 3, on Monday night, resulting in the arrest of alias “Jojo,” 30. Police seized 150 grams of suspected shabu valued at PHP1,020,000. He was classified as a high-value individual (HVI).
His two companions, identified as “Charles,” 29, and “Johnrey,” 30, were also arrested and tagged as street-level individuals (SLIs).
Early Tuesday, alias “Kenneth,” 31, was apprehended in Barangay Taculing after police confiscated 220 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP1,496,000. He was also classified as an HVI.
Police Lt. Richard Legada, CDEU assistant chief, said authorities are still checking the suspects’ backgrounds for other possible offenses.
The BCPO remains firm in its intensified anti-drug campaign and urges the public to support law enforcement efforts in making the city safer.
Meanwhile, in La Castellana, Negros Occidental, two suspects were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Robles on Monday.
Police seized 45 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP306,000 from alias “Marlon,” 42, of Binalbagan town, and alias “Jep,” 39, of Barangay Robles. Also confiscated were an improvised straw scoop, a lighter, PHP120 in cash, and PHP1,000 in marked money.
Authorities also recovered a .22 caliber revolver, three rounds of ammunition, a pair of scissors, a motorcycle, and a bundle of empty plastic sachets from Marlon.
