MORE Power celebrated its 5th anniversary in Iloilo City by honoring its employees, recognizing their dedication in transforming the city’s power distribution system.

The event gathered more than 200 regular employees, including over 150 pioneers who have been with the company since its inception.

MORE Power President and CEO Roel Castro expressed deep gratitude for the employees’ unwavering commitment.

“Your batch has endured and has stayed with the company not because you just want work but because you believe in the company, you believe in the mission, that’s why you’ve stayed,” Castro said.

He highlighted that the company’s success is a shared effort, with employees playing a crucial role in improving power services for Iloilo City.

“We have already pumped in another PHP2 billion in five years to ensure that the infrastructure, the facilities, and all the hardware will be state-of-the-art. That is only half of the story. The other half of the story is kayo,” he said, recognizing their dedication.

Castro acknowledged the challenges employees face, particularly those working in the field under harsh conditions.

“I know that our work is not easy. Ulan, init, umaga, gabi, overtime, may mga problema, may trials, but you’re still here. Again, I congratulate all of you,” he added.

Since taking over power distribution in Iloilo City, MORE Power has significantly improved infrastructure, reducing power interruptions, minimizing system loss, and eliminating illegal connections.

The company now boasts the lowest electricity rates in Western Visayas.

“We give the consumers the best service, and for me, dalawa lang iyon. One is we give them reliable, walang outages, mura na kuryente, and two; we treat them as our best client that we could have,” Castro said, reaffirming MORE Power’s commitment to affordability and customer service.

MORE Power’s achievements have set a benchmark for the energy sector, with its expansion plans driven by the same workforce that helped transform Iloilo City’s power industry.
