Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB), the country’s leading airline, hosted an intimate afternoon tea event for media and blogger friends at the Richmonde Hotel Iloilo.
Welcoming guests were Cebu Pacific President and Chief Commercial Officer Alexander G. Lao, Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer Candice G. Iyog, Corporate Communications Director Michelle Eve de Guzman, and Selrahco President Charles Lim.
The gathering served as a thanksgiving celebration as Lao announced the airline’s historic passenger and network growth in Iloilo.
“Ceb Air flew over 1.1 million passengers to and from Iloilo in 2024 across 14 domestic and international routes, solidifying its position as the airline with the widest network coverage in the City of Love,” Lao said.
“Thanks to its expanding network, CEB achieved significant growth in seat capacity at Iloilo International Airport, marking an impressive 84% year-on-year increase—from 136,000 seats in January 2024 to nearly 250,000 in January 2025,” said Iyog.
She added that flight frequency also increased by 57% year-on-year, from 826 weekly flights in January 2024 to 1,293 in January 2025.
This growth supports Cebu Pacific’s mission to make travel more accessible, especially for passengers in the Visayas, while fostering regional and international connections.
From Iloilo International Airport, CEB now operates flights to 12 domestic cities and two international destinations.
Overall, Cebu Pacific serves 37 domestic and 26 international routes across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.
