The Department of Agrarian Reform turned over farm machinery and agricultural inputs to four agrarian reform beneficiary organizations in Guimaras on March 19, 2025.
The turnover ceremony was held at the Office of the Congresswoman in San Miguel, Jordan.
The beneficiaries and their received equipment are as follows:
(1) Avila Farmers Agrarian Reform Cooperative – one unit four-wheel drive tractor with rotavator and disc plow.
(2) Cabano Upland Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries’ Association – one unit hand tractor with complete implements and trailer, one unit platform scale, three knapsack sprayers, 25 spades and 25 hoes.
(3) Purok 7 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Association of Alaguisoc, Jordan – one brand-new motorcycle and four power sprayers.
(4) M. Chavez Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Association – one feed pellet mill and one hammer mill.
Executive Assistant III Glicerio Edang represented Gov. JC Rahman A. Nava during the event.
The groups also received sustainable livelihood projects and farm inputs aimed at increasing the beneficiaries’ income by reducing crop production losses and costs in rice and other crops.
The project was funded by DAR under the Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support Program.
Also present were OIC-PARPO II Lourdes F. Novilla and Arni Sumaylo of the DAR Regional Office VI.
