A Very Merry Christmas!

By Klaus Döring

John Edward Tiña Tajanlangit (born July 14, 1977),[ professionally known as Jed Madela, is a Filipino singer, songwriter, TV host, entertainer and occasional actor. He was the first Filipino to win the World Championships of Performing Arts title. I love his Christmas song. A wonderful text:

I couldn’t really ask for more
There’s so much to be thankful for
I’m as happy as can be
I am blessed beyond my needs
The season always makes me smile
I wish it lasts a longer while
I’m glad it’s here
I can hear the children sing as their eyes light up with joy
The air is filled with love and all that it brings
Santa has a gift for every girl and boy
All our friends and family gather ’round the Christmas tree
It is that special day we’ve waited for
A very merry Christmas to you and yours
Pretty ornaments abound
Yuletide’s spirit all around
The celebrations lift my heart
They bring in a brand new start
The season always makes me smile
I wish it lasts a longer while
I’m glad it’s here
I can hear the children sing as their eyes light up with joy
The air is filled with love and all that it brings
Santa has a gift for every girl and boy
All our friends and family gather ’round the Christmas tree
It is that special day we’ve waited for
A very merry Christmas to you and yours
It’s just around the bend
May it bring goodwill to men
I can hear the children sing as their eyes light up with joy
The air is filled with love and all that it brings
Santa has a gift for every girl and boy
All our friends and family gather ’round the Christmas tree
It is that special day we’ve waited for
A very merry Christmas to you and yours
A very merry Christmas to you and yours
A very merry Christmas to you and yours.

Please allow me to remind you my dear readers: Christmas, this great day, bears the message that God is with us. Even in the darkest moments of our time, He has not abandoned the world. Let us not despair, then however much our difficulties rise before us, either in our personal surroundings, or in the life of humanity.

In celebrating Christmas, we celebrate  our faith in survival and in the salvation of humanity and of all God’s creation.

And already a little foresighted: As we are close to wrapping up this uneasy year 2024, let us look forward to a brand new year 2025 full of new and exciting possibilities.

Stay safe and healthy always and a very Merry Christmas to everyone!
