After being in hot water the past months due to his involvement in the UST Bicol bubble fiasco, former Growling Tigers head coach Aldin Ayo will be seeking to resurrect his coaching career.

Currently facing an indefinite suspension from the UAAP board, Ayo thought his coaching career would be over. Fortunately, he was tapped by the Manila Chooks-to-Go 3×3 organization to be the PH’s head coach for the upcoming FIBA 3×3 World Tour Doha Masters on November 20 and 21.

“I’m very grateful because, for me, this will bring another dimension to my coaching career,” said the prized collegiate coach.

Ayo will be handling the top 3×3 players in the country in Joshua Munzon, Alvin Pasaol, Santi Santillan, and Troy Rike who just took home the 1-million-pesos grand prize during the 2020 Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3×3 President’s Cup.

However, this will be Ayo’s first time to helm a 3×3 team and his first-ever professional 3×3 coaching stint.

“Throughout my coaching career, it was the full length of the court, but this time will be different. I can’t wait to try out new schemes for half-court,” he said.
