BACOLOD City – “Walang kapatawaran iyon.”
This was stressed by Police Colonel Noel Aliño, acting director of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), as he warned policemen to never engage in illegal drugs.
Aliño said that he will show no mercy to policemen who will be caught involved in illegal drugs.
“Ayaw natin ma involve ang police at mga taga Bacolod diyan,” he added.
Aliño said that illegal drugs is the cause of most crimes committed. “Sa drugs andiyan na lahat. Kung walang droga, walang krimen,” he added.
On April 19, Aliño led the 42 police commissioned officers of BCPO in a random drug test at the BCPO headquarters here.
During a press briefing at the Bacolod City Government Center (BCGC) yesterday, Aliño handed the drug test results to Mayor Alfredo “Albee” Benitez.
Based on the document read by Benitez before the members of the media, the drug test results yielded negative. “Hopefully, we keep it up. Rest assured paramount integrity and perception of the public towards our police force,” the mayor said.
Aliño said that he will also require newly-assigned policemen here to submit their drug test results aside from their vaccination cards, to ensure that no BCPO personnel is into illegal drugs.
He said the objective of the drug testing is for policemen to have moral ascendancy.
Once positive, he assured that they will be dealt with accordingly.
