ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 28-year-old resident of President Roxas, Capiz was collared in a drug buy-bust operation Friday last week.
Authorities identified the suspect as Arnel Pangantihon Arguelles of Sitio Katamnan in Brgy. Pantalan, President Roxas.
Police in President Roxas and Pilar towns led the bust.
Recovered from Arguelles were 4 sachets of suspected illegal drugs and P500 marked money.
The suspect is on the President Roxas PNP’s list of suspected drug peddlers.
Police Major Rachel Garnica, President Roxas police chief, estimated the market value of the seized substance at P6,800 per gram.
Arguelles is presently detained at the President MPS. Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) have been readied against the suspect.
Meanwhile, another person was arrested Saturday evening in a buy bust operation in Brgy. Natividad, Pilar.
Police identified the suspect as Allen Arcenas, 30, of said place.
Recovered from Arcenas were five sachets of suspected illegal drugs and P500 marked money.
The Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) led by PCap. Rene Hare, and SDET of Pontevedra led by PMaj. Christopher Candelario conducted the bust.
Arcenas suspect is presently detained at the Pilar police station.
